October 12, 2005Swedish black metallers DARK FUNERAL have been confirmed for the Piorno Rock festival, set to pake place November 12 in Malaga, Spain. During this festival appearance, the band will, for the first time ever, perform some of their new songs from their upcoming album, "Attera Totus Sanctus".
In other news, DARK FUNERAL will contribute a song from their new album to the soundtrack of the upcoming movie "Murder Island", which is described as "a classic 'teen slasher' production." The movie will also include music from DARK FUNERAL's Regain labelmates BEHEMOTH, MARDUK, DEFLESHED, and TRENDKILL, among many others. "Murder Island" will have its first premiere at Henriksberg (Läckösalen 2:a våning) in Gothenburg, Sweden. And on January 23 it will be released on DVD by Regain Records. Further information on the movie, trailers, etc. can be found at www.firstdayproductions.se/murder/.
As previously reported, the limited digipack version of DARK FUNERAL's new album, "Attera Totus Sanctus", has been delayed until January 2006 "due to a complicated manufacturing process." The regular edition of the album will still be released in Europe on October 24 via Regain Records. The CD will arrive in the U.S. on November 29 via Candlelight Records USA.
DARK FUNERAL have uploaded two tracks from "Attera Totus Sanctus" (view artwork by Morbid's Daniel Valeriani at this location) at their official web site. Check out the songs "Godhate" (Windows Media) and "666 Voices Inside" (Windows Media).
